Those of you who are looking for an alternative to all the sampling software and gear that may be above your price range may want to continue reading. Allow me to present my Geist Review to you. Geist is a software version of a sampling drum machine made by FXpansion. One complaint I hear about a lot of software drum machines is the sound quality. About 2 minutes after downloading Geist, I navigated to the sound parameters and must say I was impressed. The filters alone made my eyebrows rise like what is this LOL.
Not only does it sample, but it can slice in real-time meaning that you can chop breaks and send them to pads with just 1 click. That sounds very familiar for you gear heads out there who need every latest piece of gear out, i’m not hatin’, just sayin’ LOL! You can also mix, arrange, sequence, resample, and record multiple takes with the quickness.
